Pick two dates. You get the number of days between them, the same span in weeks and in calendar months, and how many of those days are weekdays.
How the days are counted
Every date is turned into a running day number, then the two numbers are subtracted. That gives the number of midnights between the dates, which is what people normally mean by “days between”. Time zones and daylight saving changes cannot shift the answer, because only whole calendar dates are used.
Days between = end date − start date (+ 1 if you count the end day)
For example, from March 1 to March 31 is 30 days. If you count both the first and the last day, as you would for a month-long event, it is 31 days.

Weekdays and weekend days
The result also splits the span into weekdays (Monday to Friday) and weekend days (Saturday and Sunday). That split does not remove public holidays. For working days with holidays, or with a Friday–Saturday weekend, use the business days calculator.
Questions people ask
Does the count include the start and end dates?
By default the count is the number of days you move forward to get from the start date to the end date, so the start day is not counted. That matches what most people mean, and how ages and deadlines are measured. Tick “Count the end day too” to include both dates, which adds one day. Use that for things like hotel nights versus days of a trip, or an event that runs from the first date through the last.
How many weeks are between two dates?
Divide the number of days by 7. The whole number is the full weeks and the remainder is the extra days. For example 100 days is 14 weeks and 2 days. The result above shows both.
Why does the months figure not match days divided by 30?
Months have 28 to 31 days, so we count calendar months instead: from January 15 to March 15 is exactly 2 months, even though it is 59 days (60 in a leap year). Any leftover days are shown separately.
Does it handle leap years?
Yes. February 29 is counted in leap years (2024, 2028, 2032 and so on). A year is a leap year if it divides by 4, except century years, which must divide by 400. So 2000 was a leap year and 2100 will not be.
Can I count backwards, with the end date before the start date?
Yes. Enter the dates in any order. The result tells you the number of days between them and says whether the end date is earlier.
