Super Bowl LXI
The 61st Super Bowl will decide the champion of the 2026 NFL season. It will be the second Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium, home of the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers, which also hosted Super Bowl LVI in February 2022. It is also the first Super Bowl to be played on Valentine’s Day.
Why the game is in mid-February
Since 2021 the NFL regular season has had 17 games over 18 weeks. That pushed the championship back a week, to the second Sunday of February, after the four rounds of playoffs in January.
