What 4 weeks is used for
Four weeks is 28 days, which is shorter than every calendar month except a non-leap February. Rotas, billing cycles and courses that run in four-week blocks drift against the calendar, so the date moves earlier each month.
How the date is counted
The start date is day 0. Adding 28 days moves forward one calendar day at a time, through weekends, holidays, month ends and leap days, and the date you land on is the answer. Because 4 weeks is a whole number of weeks, the answer is always the same weekday as the start date.
Answer = start date + 28 days
